The purchasing function of The Lane Construction Corporation supports the corporate mission by seeking, developing and working with qualified suppliers and subcontractors. Our efforts include but are not limited to the following:
- Researching and contacting potential suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate communication of requirements for existing and new projects or plant facilities.
- Create, review, renew and maintain vendor relationships to provide a timely and dependable chain of supply in a wide range of types of work, material and geographical areas.
- Actively performing and updating outreach efforts to meet or exceed project owner’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals for participation. We make every attempt to maximize DBE, women-owned, minority-owned, veteran-owned, disabled veteran-owned, small business and HUB Zone firm’s involvement in all of our contract opportunities.
- Negotiate and assist in a resolution of differences between vendors within purchasing and corporate policies.
- Initiate and maintain national corporate relations to take full advantage of our corporate volume and available economies of scale.
