Blue Line Extension To Largo Addison Route
This design-build contract involved 3.1 miles of concrete cut-and-cover double box units that serve the inbound and outbound tracks. Lane constructed several multi-span viaduct structures on concrete piers along with retained-cut, reinforced-concrete walls. Work included 112,000 linear feet of drilled piles, 325,000 square feet of steel plate lagging and 250,000 square feet of timber lagging.
Knightdale Bypass Us 64
North Carolina Constructors (Joint-venture partners Lane and Flatiron) constructed a 6-lane freeway approximately 15.51 kilometers in length to bypass the busy route US 64 just east of Raleigh, NC. The work for the project included design, construction, construction engineering, and management of the new location 6-lane freeway project.
A. Max Brewer Bridge Replacement
The A. Max Brewer Bridge, which spans the Indian River in Titusville, connected the City of Titusville to the barrier island. Work began on a design-build replacement project in 2009. Lane demolished the approach spans, saw-cutting them into five longitudinal sections for each span. Lane then built the new bridge superstructure, which is located south of the old bridge. The replacement bridge is comprised of pre-tensioned, 78-inch bulb-tee approach spans and a post-tensioned, three-span continuous modified 78-inch bulb-tee channel unit.
