Lane understands the rigorous requirements imposed by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (F.A.R’s) We have worked with and have complied with the F.A.R.’s through the procurement and contract execution process. Projects include the Olmsted Lock and Dam for the Corps of Engineers, the Reconstruction of Pennsylvania Avenue for the FHWA, and numerous roadway reconstruction projects awarded by the National Park Service in the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast Regions. Lane has endeavored to participate in Federal programs to help emerging small businesses. Whether it is through our formal mentor-protégé program with the Department of Defense, or meeting specific project Small Business Utilization goals, Lane is committed to help Small Business contractors succeed on every Federal contract. Federal Construction Services
Four new state-of-the-art guard booths required materials never utilized on normal heavy construction projects and rare even in the field of high security installations. Links: Learn More About This Project | More Projects Lane performed all site excavation and embankment work and installed storm drains, sanitary sewer and waterline. Its work included approximately 9,200 cubic yards of asphalt and pavement demolition; 7,800 cubic yards of site excavation; 18,000 cubic yards of borrow excavation; 26,000 cubic yards of embankment; 394 yards of RCP storm drain; and installation of 31 precast storm drain structures and 440 yards of waterline. Reconstruction of Pennsylvania Avenue
Lane’s work on the reconstruction of Pennsylvania Avenue included both security and aesthetic elements. The project consisted of the removal and reconstruction of roadways and sidewalks to create a pedestrian plaza and the construction of four security booths. It also required the installation of new kiosks, benches, light posts and bollards.
Pentagon Metro Bus Loop
This $3 million contract involved work on the new Metro Bus Loop at the Pentagon. Lane served as the prime subcontractor to Hensel Phillips Construction Company.
