Reconstruction of Pennsylvania Avenue

Lane’s work on the reconstruction of Pennsylvania Avenue included both security and aesthetic elements. The project consisted of the removal and reconstruction of roadways and sidewalks to create a pedestrian plaza and the construction of four security booths. It also required the installation of new kiosks, benches, light posts and bollards.

Pentagon Metro Bus Loop

This $3 million contract involved work on the new Metro Bus Loop at the Pentagon. Lane performed all site excavation and embankment work and installed storm drains, sanitary sewer and waterline. Its work included approximately 9,200 cubic yards of asphalt and pavement demolition; 7,800 cubic yards of site excavation; 18,000 cubic yards of borrow excavation; 26,000 cubic yards of embankment; 394 yards of RCP storm drain; and installation of 31 precast storm drain structures and 440 yards of waterline.
