Skilled Craftsmen

A diversity of skilled craftsmen is required on every project that the company performs. As a general contractor, Lane completes the majority of all work with our own labor force. Carpenters, Laborers, Drivers and Operators of heavy equipment are always needed depending on the type and complexity of the project. Under the direction of Field Supervisors and Foremen, you can be sure that your tenure with Lane will be productive and rewarding. Promotions are made from within, giving everyone the opportunity to advance over a period of time from skilled craftsman to the Foreman level. Safety is always number one at Lane and so a good safety record is essential to gaining employment with us.Lane has a zero tolerance policy on drugs in the workplace. As a result, each skilled craftsman is required to undergo drug testing prior to employment, regardless of your initial assignment.

Field Operations

District Managers

Field operations conducted by The Lane Construction Corporation are monitored by our management staff in the corporate headquarters. The President and Chief Executive Officer has overall responsibility for the day to day management of the corporation. Vice Presidents are responsible for Engineering, Purchasing, Equipment, & Field Operations. Each project has the support of corporate management utilizing our staff of thirteen District Managers and Assistant District Managers who report directly to an Executive Vice President of Plants and

Contract Supervision

It is the policy of the company to make promotions from within the organization, therefore, our key Contract Supervisors are all well versed in many aspects of the construction industry. Many hold Professional Engineering licenses and certifications in various states. Many of our key supervisors have been in our employ their entire careers, extending in some cases more than 25 years. The Company has always maintained a permanent supervisory force which, at present, numbers approximately 650.

Labor Force Total labor force during the peak construction season numbers approximately 4500.
