Owner: Florida Department of Transportation
Location: Brevard and Volusia Counties, FL
Project Cost: $118 million
Project Type: Highways and Bridges | Procurement Type: Design-Build

The project involves widening 30 miles of the existing I-95 from four to six lanes. With a maximum allowable bid of $120 million, Lane was the only company bidding below the cap as well as the only company capable of meeting all FDOT requirements.

Additional project work involves drainage system improvements, bridge widening and replacement, soundwall construction, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) modifications, median barriers (temporary concrete barriers during all phases of construction and double-faced guardrail with rub rail when the project is complete), signing and pavement markings, signalization, drainage, and stormwater.
To improve efficiency, Lane opened a plant in Edgewater, FL near the project site specifically to develop materials for this project.
