CHARLOTTE, NC – The Lane Construction Corporation’s parent company, Webuild Group, has been included in TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies of 2026, in the Pioneers category. The inclusion is for shaping the future of infrastructure through engineering excellence, scale and long‑term vision.

Published annually, the TIME100 Most Influential Companies list honors organizations shaping the future of business, society, and the global economy. TIME cited Webuild as having “become the contractor of choice for the infrastructure projects the world most needs but often finds hardest to build,” recognizing the Group’s ability to deliver complex, pioneering projects that advance sustainable growth and long‑term social value.

TIME’s recognition underscores Webuild’s leadership in delivering large‑scale infrastructure projects defined by exceptional technical complexity and strategic importance. Projects cited by TIME include the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, Africa’s largest hydropower project—designed to double Ethiopia’s energy production and strengthen regional energy security—as well as the Brenner Base Tunnel, which will become the world’s longest underground railway, creating a critical rail link beneath the Alps between Italy and Austria.

With operations spanning nearly 50 countries, Webuild is globally recognized for delivering complex infrastructure across transportation and mobility, energy, water, and sustainable urban development. TIME noted the Group’s leadership at a moment when large‑scale infrastructure has returned to the forefront of global priorities, supported by ongoing technological innovation that improves safety, efficiency, and environmental performance.

In the United States, Lane plays a key role in advancing this vision by delivering major roadway, bridge, rail, and civil infrastructure projects in close partnership with public owners, industry partners, and local communities—emphasizing safety, collaboration, innovation, and responsible stewardship in alignment with the broader Webuild Group.

Webuild’s inclusion in the TIME100 Most Influential Companies of 2026 reinforces its position as a global infrastructure leader and reflects the collective contributions of its organizations worldwide, including Lane, in shaping resilient and sustainable infrastructure for the future.
